Our Founder

The Silicon Valley Black Chamber of Commerce is more than an organization that supports businesses. It is an integral part of the economic development ecosystem of our community. When we speak of economic development, we mean more than entrepreneurship.

We mean expanding access to education and training that opens doors of opportunities for not only good jobs but the creation of thriving successful businesses that bless multiple communities for generations to come – Carl Davis Jr.

We advocate for African Americans and minority-owned businesses, vendors, and contractors.

Our membership represents all facets of our community. Our 3 main areas of focus are:

Education/Training

Employment

Entrepreneurship

About Us

The Silicon Valley Black Chamber of Commerce (SVBCC) and its 501 c (3) foundation, the Silicon Valley Center for Entrepreneurial Development (SVCED) work together to achieve each other’s goal of increasing the number of successful small businesses, especially minority & African American businesses, in Silicon Valley while developing a pipeline of future entrepreneurs through better education and training.

For nearly 25 years, SVBCC and SVCED have encouraged and equipped hundreds of small minority businesses and those looking to start businesses with turbo-charged programs to be competitive in this new global landscape.

Both Boards and Leadership teams are reflected below.
